Call for applications : Classical ballet teacher for the recreational program
The École supérieure is looking for enthusiastic, reliable and creative-minded teachers to teach classical ballet classes in our children's and adult recreational programs.
The mission of the École supérieure de ballet du Québec is to train dancers and creators who meet the highest institutional standards of the professional dance world, and thereby promote the recognition, influence and development of dance. Founded by Madame Ludmilla Chiriaeff in 1966 at the request of the Quebec Ministry of Cultural Affairs, it is the benchmark in Quebec for professional teaching and training in classical dance.
Main role :
- Teach ballet classes in several age levels, ensuring the preparation and performance of the technical class.
- Work closely with the musical accompanist to ensure the fluidity of the class.
- Ensure the development of students' curiosity and artistic commitment.
Desired profile :
- Relevant teaching experience in a danse school or as a professional dancer.
- Teaching experience with children aged 3 to 14.
- Versatility in teaching methods.
- Knowledge of classical repertoire.
- Flexibility in teaching concept.
- Attestation of Collegial Studies (AEC) in classical dance teaching or equivalent, or high-level training in classical ballet.
Personal qualities :
- Sense of professional and artistic ethics.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to synthesize, organize and create.
Other requirements :
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Good knowledge of French.
