A Recognition Evening to Salute our Administrators and Philanthropists
Between tribute and inauguration, the Recognition Evening of École supérieure de ballet du Québec paid tribute to the exceptional commitment of the members of the boards of directors of the École supérieure and its Foundation, as well as its most loyal donors. A beautiful evening held at the Maison de la danse du Québec Ludmilla Chiriaeff on January 24, 2024.
Our distinguished guests included members of the École supérieure and Fondation boards of directors - including some former members who have nurtured a strong sense of belonging to our institution over the years - as well as members of the Provoquez l’exceptionnel fundraising campaign cabinet and the Jeune scène d'affaires committee.
On this occasion, we were honoured to inaugurate the Cercle Héritage Ludmilla Chiriaeff, which brings together donors who have made a deferred planned gift. This initiative is part of the Fondation de l'École supérieure's Provoquez l’exceptionnel campaign, bringing together people motivated to leave their mark on the history of our institution by making a long-term contribution, in order to leave a lasting and significant impact for future generations of dancers. In recognition of their commitment, pins were presented to the founding members of the Cercle Héritage Ludmilla Chiriaeff.
During the evening, a special tribute was paid to Jean-Paul Bellon to celebrate the dedication, contribution and exemplary involvement - for 20 years! - of the man who helped create the Foundation. Mr. Bellon was named an honorary member and presented with a picture frame autographed by Foundation scholarship students.
In addition, the President of the Provoquez l’exceptionnel Campaign Cabinet, Ms. Lyse George, presented her inspiring vision for the campaign.
Finally, our students amazed the guests by dancing an excerpt from Daphnis et Chloé, choreographed by the talented Andrew Skeels. Their interpretation and passion for dance added a creative touch to this memorable event.
