Cancellation of End of Year's Shows
Because the school will be closed until May 1st, L'École supérieure de ballet du Québec regrets to announce that it will be impossible to present the performances scheduled from now until the end of the school year. Corps de ballet, Un après-midi au ballet, Prologue and UN finissant, UN chorégraphe are therefore cancelled.
If you purchased tickets online, you will be refunded automatically via the credit card used to make the purchase. If you purchased tickets in person or by phone, you will receive a refund when the Centre Pierre-Péladeau at UQAM reopens. The reopening is currently scheduled for April 13, but the date is subject to change depending on government orders. If you can afford it and wish to support L'École supérieure at this difficult time, please make a donation to our foundation.
The concert at the Maison symphonique, Tous en chœur autour de Beethoven, presented in collaboration with L’École de musique Vincent-d’Indy and the Orchestre symphonique du Conservatoire de la Montérégie, is postponed until fall 2020.
In the recreational division, all end-of-year presentations for the children’s program are also cancelled.
“We are hopeful that the measures being taken to combat the pandemic will allow us to gradually resume our activities starting in early May,” said the executive and artistic directors of L’École supérieure, Mr. Alix Laurent and Ms. Anik Bissonnette.
Ms. Bissonnette added that the teaching staff is hard at work developing a conditioning program for students in the professional division, as well as exploring innovative remote training solutions.
