Our students in The Sleeping Beauty
Our professional and recreational students have the chance to take part in the cast of this enchanting ballet, performed by Les Grands Ballets Canadiens. The Sleeping Beauty, one of the most famous ballets in the classical repertoire, is choreographed to Tchaikovsky's splendid music and continues to captivate audiences around the world.
"The story begins with a curse cast by the fairy Carabosse, who, not having been invited to Princess Aurore's christening, predicts her death on her 16th birthday. Fortunately, the benevolent Lilac fairy softens the curse by transforming death into a deep sleep lasting a hundred years. Only a kiss of pure love can awaken her."
