Passion goes through transmission
Last spring, the students of the École supérieure de ballet du Québec had the opportunity to dance the first movement of George Balanchine's Concerto Barocco, thanks to the visit of the renowned rehearsal director Joysanne Sidimus.
George Balanchine is one of the most famous choreographers of the 20th century and revolutionized the ballet style by bringing a contemporary touch where the artist plays both with the loss of balance and body lines. He attaches importance to musicality and for him "Dancing, is music made visible".
Like our students, we invite you to immerse yourself in Balanchine's world with this article from Dance International, written by none other than our Head of Pianists and Music Education, Elaine Gaertner.
