Prix Ludmilla 2025 - Spotlight on the winners
The excellence and motivation of our students were on display at the 9th edition of the Ludmilla Awards, held at the École supérieure de ballet du Québec on February 21 and 22, 2025! During this annual competition, 74 students from the Intermediary, Advanced and Superior cycles presented a classical variation before a jury of professionals made up of :
Pierre Lapointe, former principal ballet master of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens and president of the jury.
Greta Hodgkinson, former principal dancer with The National Ballet of Canada and now artist in residence.
Shawn Hounsell, former dancer with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, now choreographer and teacher.
Katia Mead, daughter of our founder Ludmilla Chiriaeff.
This year, Femka Murphy Vormer (Advanced IV), Zoé Harvey (Advanced V) and Ana Louisa Collazo Kelly (Superior I) were particularly outstanding, winning the Ludmilla 2025 Award!

For this year's edition, 7 Coup de cœur du jury mentions were awarded to Kiana Uemura-Baron (Intermediary I cycle), Maxime Coulombe (Intermediary II cycle), Maïté Ribeiro Vargas (Intermediary II cycle), Princess Rose Gonzalez Escudero (Intermediary III cycle), Sophia Almeida Ribeiro (Advanced V cycle), Valéria Matte-Milosserdov (Advanced V cycle) and Valentina Ortega Baez (Advanced V cycle).

Some twenty other students also received commendations for their musicality, interpretation, arm carriage, lower-leg work or technical skills.
