Soirée des étoiles at the Festival des arts de Saint-Sauveur
We are delighted to announce that our students will take part in the prestigious Soirée des Étoiles at the Festival des Arts de Saint-Sauveur.
Our students will take part in an exceptional cast, made up of top talents from New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, The National Ballet of Canada, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens and Les Ballets Jazz Montréal.
Our students will be performing Daphnis et Chloé, choreographed by Andrew Skeels. Daphnis et Chloé, in which the composer evokes the "Greece of his dreams", was originally created by the famous Ballets Russes, with Nijinsky in the role of Daphnis. Choreographer Andrew Skeels brings a unique and modern artistic signature to this iconic piece. Stepping off the beaten track of narrative, he infuses the dancers with a sensitivity to the music and an organicity of movement that plunges us into a universe as hypnotic as it is fascinating.
