Lise Bernier
Lise Bernier studied at l’École des Grands Ballets canadiens de Montréal and at la Compagnie de danse Eddy Toussaint, for which she was also artistic director of the professional training program.
From 1974 to 1992, Lise Bernier danced all over the world for the Ballets Jazz de Montréal, Howard Richard Danse and the Compagnie de danse Eddy Toussaint. She was also repetiteur.
She obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with specialization in scenography from Concordia University, while working at DB Clarke Theatre, at Théâtre du Nouveau Monde and at the Place des Arts. She then returned to dance for another seven years as a main dancer.
Lise Bernier has toured for O Vertigo, Compagnie de danse Marie Chouinard and Compañia Nacional de Danza, Spain. She also worked as coordinator for several major Montreal festivals. For more than 14 years at Cirque du Soleil, she worked as an artist contract negotiator and executive assistance for special events.
Lise Bernier has been responsible for schedules and human resources at l’École supérieure since 2012.
